Connected Beginnings is a community-led early childhood initiative supporting Aboriginal children aged 0–5 and their families.

At Marnbi Aboriginal Corporation, Connected Beginnings focuses on strengthening how local early childhood, health, and family support services work together so families can access the right support at the right time, in culturally safe ways.

We work alongside families, Elders, and community partners to support early learning, wellbeing, and school readiness. This includes creating culturally rich opportunities — such as playgroups and community activities — where culture, language, and family connection are central. Families are encouraged to play an active role in shaping activities, sharing knowledge, and guiding what learning looks like for their children.

More about the Program

Why does this program matter to our community?
Why this program matters icon.png

The early years set the foundation for a child’s future. Connected Beginnings supports Aboriginal families early — from pregnancy to age five — so children can grow up strong in culture, learning, and wellbeing. The program helps reduce barriers to services and supports Closing the Gap by making sure families can access the right help in culturally safe ways.
